Scientists Confirm: Babysitting Your Grandkids Improves Your Life Expectancy

If you need a reason to look after your grandchildren, then you are in the right place. Scientists have come to a special conclusion in a survey in Berlin that involved more than 500 people over 70 years of age.

Those who spend their time with their grandchildren have a longer life than those who do not deal much with their grandchildren.

The study showed that older people who helped others had an average of 7 years remaining after the study. Those who did not help others were on average living only four years more. Most of the grandparents, who had been hanging out with their grandchildren, lived on average for 10 years after the study.

Scientists have come to the conclusion that older people who care for others have several reasons for a longer life, as they also move more. The exact same results are witnessed when older people care for their grandchildren.

At the same time, the study showed that older people with whom their children like to work will live longer. Every parent certainly agrees with the fact that in the presence of children or grandchildren heart starts playing!

The researchers also carried out interviews and medical examinations with participants every two years - they showed that older people who care for their grandchildren are healthier.

The next time you look for an excuse to look after your grandkids, just show their parents the results of the research. Feel free to share the article with all grandparents so they will spend more time in the embrace of grandkids!
