Lindsey Vonn airlifted to hospital after Olympic crash
U.S. alpine skier Lindsey Vonn was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in Treviso, Italy, following a crash during the Olympic women's downhill in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Her injuries are serious but doctors confirm that she remains in excellent hands. She already underwent surgery yesterday afternoon, which was necessary due to a fractured left leg.
Footage shows Vonn being carefully removed from the helicopter and transferred to a waiting ambulance. The swift response of the medical teams ensured her rapid admission to intensive care while fans and athletes around the world remain concerned. Doctors continue to closely monitor her recovery.
