Safari guide films crocodile performing deadly "death roll"
A dramatic video from Kruger National Park in South Africa is spreading rapidly online after capturing a brutal territorial fight between two massive crocodiles. The footage shows the moment a larger reptile clamps its powerful jaws on its rival's tail before unleashing a deadly "death roll".
The incredible moment was filmed by safari guide Andrew Aveley while leading a tour through the famous wildlife reserve. During the drive, the group encountered two giant crocodiles locked in an intense territorial battle.
In the footage, the larger crocodile suddenly grabs the other one's tail and begins spinning violently in the water. This maneuver, known as the "death roll", is one of the species' most powerful hunting techniques.
Such close encounters between giant crocodiles are rarely captured on camera, which is why the video quickly drew widespread attention online.
