Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing on Nevada Freeway
Drivers on Interstate 80 in Nevada witnessed an unusual sight when a small aircraft made an emergency landing directly on the freeway. The dramatic moment was captured by a vehicle's dashcam, with Nevada State Police later sharing the footage.
The Seawind 3000 took off from Reno-Tahoe International Airport at 7:42 a.m. and landed on the highway near Patrick just seven minutes later. The pilot was the only person on board and was not injured. All westbound lanes were temporarily closed following the landing and reopened at around 11:20 a.m. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are responding to investigate the incident.
