10-Foot-Tall Waves Wreck A Beach Deck In Southeastern Alaska

A video from Alaska in which the author recorded high waves on the coast has landed online in recent weeks.

These completely destroyed the deck in front of the house, and the author managed to record the entire scene on a mobile phone.

The past winter days the city of Ketchikan in Alaska witnessed a strong storm, during which gusts of wind reached speeds of up to 160 kph (100 mph). More than three meters (10 foot) tall waves were created, damaging many buildings on the coast.

The waves also destroyed the deck in front of one of the houses in Ketchikan, and the owner managed to capture the entire scene on camera.
