The Deaftones introduced themselves as a mix of deaf girls, deaf and mute, and hearing girls, from ages 13 to 39. They combined their power to bring music closer to many others with hearing difficulties.
Two of the main founders of the choir have no problems with hearing - that is why many songs are sang just by those two girls, while the others sing with them with the help of the sign language.
