44 People Injured After Wave Machine Malfunctions Creates A "Tsunami" In The Wave Pool
From China comes a video of a real horror. A severe accident occurred at Shuiyun Water Park when a wave pool operator reportedly got drunk, and then drove the device to its maximum point.
About 10 feet high tsunami-like waves were created, causing injuries to 44 people in the park.
A water park representative said in a press release that the accident occurred due to a mechanical failure and then added that 10 people were injured.
Authorities announced shortly afterward that 44 people needed medical attention, and three suffered serious injuries.
The water park opened in 2015 and has now been closed down by authorities for investigation. Unofficially, there were hints that the incident occurred after the operator got drunk and then adjusted the wave height to its maximum.
