Brave 2-Year-Old Girl Saves Her Dad's Life During Blood Sugar Attack

A barely 2-year-old girl named Zab from Berkshire, England, has become a hero after saving her father's life.

31-year-old Ymman Demegillo experienced a sudden hypoglycemic attack due to low blood sugar, during which he became nearly unresponsive.

When little Zab noticed that her father was having a medical emergency, she began shaking him and calling his name. In tears, she did everything she could to help him regain consciousness.

At one point, the young girl jumped off the bed, ran into the living room, and grabbed her dad's glucose tablets. She then made him chew the tablets and stayed by his side until the symptoms slowly subsided. The parents told media that they had previously taught their 2-year-old daughter how to respond in such a situation.

Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, is a condition where blood glucose levels fall below the normal range and requires immediate treatment. It most commonly affects people with diabetes.
"She's only two years old, but she already knows how to help her daddy during a low blood sugar episode," said Zab's proud mother, Jill, after watching the video. "It's heartbreaking and heartwarming all at once. Moments like this remind us: kids are always watching, always learning, and sometimes, they become our little heroes. Thank you, God, for the gift of Zab."
