Caterpillars Feeding On Exploding Touch-Me-Not Seed Pods

Nowadays people are taken for granted that we get food on the plate. We only have to go to a shop where we can choose whatever we want.

Unfortunately, not all living beings have such simple options for eating.

BBC Earth has posted a video on the web in which they showed how caterpillars feed. They are the most enthusiastic for the seeds of the particular plant, which has an interesting mechanism for further fertilization.

The seeds at the plant "Spotted Touch-Me-Not" (yes, they called it like this) literally explode when they mature. If there is a caterpillar right next at the seeds at that time, they fly along with them to the surrounding area.

See how this moment looks like in a slow-motion video captured by BBC Earth!
