Crying Vegan Breaks Into Slaughterhouse And Chains Herself Near Calf
A 23-year-old vegan who fights for animal rights has posted a video clip on the web from the interior of the slaughterhouse, when she comforted a calf with a cruel fate at his last moments.
Alix Livingstone from Melbourne, Australia, broke into the slaughterhouse Benalla in Victoria, and then tied herself with a chain next to the calf.
The slaughterhouse staff wanted to remove the activist immediately, but Alix did not give up. She demanded that at least two calfs should be released, but her request was unsuccessful. The calf was slaughtered only hours later.
Two of the calfs were taken away by the mothers only 30 days after birth. Alix wanted to inform the public about what really is happening in the meat industry with her commitment. She says that animals should not suffer from the greed of people.
