Electrofishing A Huge School Of Asian Carp Below Barkley Dam

Asian carp is one of the largest carp species in the world. Freshwater migratory fish was initially widespread in Asia but now also lives in rivers in the United States.

Good taste makes fish a frequent target of fishermen, but it also must be caught because of their invasiveness.

These fish can weigh more than forty pounds and can kill an adult human. They can prepare jumps out of the water, where they "fly" up to 3 meters (10 ft) in height, and many boaters were injured in this way.

They are highly invasive fish that suppress other species. That is why, these days, the United States has decided to catch some of the fish using electricity.

A video landed online from the Cumberland River in the US state of Kentucky where they electrofished a huge school of asian carp next to the Barkley Dam.
