Wildebeest are antelopes of the genus Connochaetes and are native to eastern and southern Africa. They belong to the Bovidae family, which includes true antelopes, cattle, goats, sheep and other ungulates.
At the end of October, several million wildebeest migrate from the Maasai Mara Nature Reserve in Kenya to the Serengeti Nature Reserve, located in Tanzania.
