Italian Grandma Gives Out High Fives During Marathon, Becomes Online Sensation
In November, a marathon was held in the Italian town of Ravenna, attended by many runners from all over Italy and from abroad.
This year, thanks to a wonderful act, the real sensation of the marathon has turned out to be a 84-year-old grandma, who gave many runners additional reson to finish the marathon as soon as possible.
Valeriana Corelli is an Italian grandma who stood in the cold weather during the marathon for two hours along the course, while giving her hand to competitors to give her a high five.
Grandma Corelli also received a new nickname among the locals - Nonnina della Maratona. In translation this would mean "marathon grandmother".
The cute scene was shot on camera by Roberto Catalano and he described the video as "65 seconds of sport, humanity, love and community".
Well done grandma for such an adorable move on Ravenna Marathon, which was held month ago in Italy. Will this grandmother also delight you with her actions?
