Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington Found Dead, Commits Suicide Aged 41
Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has died at the age of 41. A spokesperson confirmed that the death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.
His body was reportedly found just before 9 a.m. on Thursday by a housekeeper. His death came as a shock to his bandmates, who he was supposed to meet just hours after his body was discovered for a photoshoot in West Hollywood, California.
Bennington, who was twice married and had six children, was a close friend of Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell, who committed suicide in Detroit in May.
Bennington had apparently taken his own life on what would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday.
