Lion That Spent 15 Years Stuck In Concrete Cage Touches Grass For First Time
A video of a lion named Ruben, who spent 15 years of his life in captivity, went viral online months ago.
He never felt freedom, and his place was a fenced concrete enclosure - the last five years he was very lonely and only fed by people.
Ruben is a 15-year-old lion who has spent most of his life in a closed concrete enclosure at a private zoo in Armenia. He was also born there, and his story soon reached good people who came to his aid.
The private zoo closed its doors five years ago, and Ruben the lion remained there in captivity. People fed him through a cage, but in recent years he lived completely in solitude. The good people from the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Africa, came to his aid.
With the help of an airplane, Ruben was brought to the location of the shelter, and there he felt freedom and touched the grass for the first time after fifteen years. Due to his age and health problems, he cannot be released into the wild, but the good people have provided him with a large space in which he will continue to live carefree.
