Man Captures Lightning Strike In San Jose During The Hail Storm
On Tuesday, a video clip shot by Douglas Mena from San Jose, California, landed on the Facebook social network.
Over the past weeks, there have been very varied times when the temperatures dropped considerably below the freezing point, and many places in California were covered with thick snow.
Douglas Mena first watched a group of playful neighbors sliding along a steep icy road, then decided to take their entertainment to the camera.
He took his mobile phone and started shooting, and only a few seconds later, he captured a lightning strike on the camera. During the hail storm, the lighting hit directly into the antenna at one of the nearby houses.
His video shot got nearly 400,000 views in just five days, and it also collected over a thousand reactions and almost 3,500 shares. See what kind of scenery Douglas Mena witnessed during the hail storm together with the residents.
