Manatees Got Stuck In A Drying River, People Carried Them For About 2 Kilometers

A video is coming from Colombia, where the locals of the small town proved that there are many good people in the world who do care about animals.

Since they had a dry season in the past month, many rivers have completely dry up, and many animals have remained trapped. Four manatees were also trapped in one of the rivers.

There, helpless animals were waiting for a cruel fate, so the locals quickly joined forces to save the manatees.

Practically everyone gathered - children, women and men - and then they started to save the manatees one by one. And what they did, is no doubt worth the Oscar!

Since the closest swamp is more than 2 kilometers away, and the way up to there passes through the demanding terrain, they had no other option than to take manatees to the swamp with the help of stretchers. All four manatees were saved, and the entire rescue took about 48 hours.

Well done to good people for such a solution, which undoubtedly deserves great respect. Another proof that there are still good people among us who do care about the animals.
