Mexican Navy Finds 3.5 Tonnes Of Cocaine Inside "Narco Submarine"
On Friday, the Mexican Navy published a video online showing their past operation against a "narco submarine".
At the end of June, a submarine with more than three tonnes of cocaine was intercepted in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Mexico.
The Navy has released dramatic video footage of the hunt for the 26-metre twin-engine submarine, believed to be the world's largest underwater drug-carrying vessel.
First, they were pursued by helicopter, then the policemen boarded the vessel, in which there were five people. 186 packages of cocaine were found inside the submarine.
The Mexican Navy has once again demonstrated its good training with the past action, and the vessel was boarded while moving, in strong winds and rough seas. This year alone, the Mexican Navy has seized more than 21 tonnes of cocaine and arrested 121 people.
