Rockstar Makita Suzuki factory rider Mike Alessi suffered multiple injuries in a horrific crash at the start of the moto 2 at Round 5 of the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship at Red Bud Track & Trail in Buchanan, Michigan in 2008.

Alessi was run over by several other riders after losing control after a jump.
