Mother Shoots Man In Court Who Abused And Murdered Her 7-Year-Old Daughter

The story of Marianne Bachmeier is considered one of the most shocking and controversial stories from Germany, which deeply affected the public.

In 1981, the mother took justice into her own hands when, she killed the man during the trial, who kidnapped, raped and murdered her 7-year-old daughter Anna Bachmeier.

Marianne Bachmeier was the mother of a 7-year-old girl, Anna Bachmeier, who became the victim of a horrific crime in 1980. The girl was kidnapped and murdered by Klaus Grabowski, who has been convicted of crimes against children in the past. The former butcher kidnapped Anna when she ran away from home after an argument with her mother. He abused her, then strangled her, dumping her body in a sack near a canal.

In 1981, his trial began in a courtroom in Lübeck, where the mother of the deceased girl was also present. On the fourth day of the trial, she took justice into her own hands - she smuggled a gun into the courtroom and then fired six times at the rapist and murderer. Three shots hit Grabowski, who died at the scene.

Marianne was immediately arrested, and her action caused much debate and public controversy. Two years later, she was sentenced to six years in prison for premeditated murder, but was released from prison after three years due to good behavior. Her life until her death was marked by the pain of losing her daughter and the trauma of the consequences of the act. She died of pancreatic cancer in 1996 and was buried next to her daughter Anna in Lübeck.
