Orangutan Mother Meets Steve Irwin, Immediately Trusts Him

The orangutans are three extant species of great apes native to Indonesia and Malaysia. Orangutans are currently only found in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. 

The females are very protective for their babies, and for people, in such cases, they can also be very dangerous. But obviously not for all people.

Two years ago, when Steve Irwin was in the woods where orangutans live along with a camera crew, his presence was quickly noticed by a female who had a baby in her hands.

She climbed all the way to him, then impressed many with a moving gesture. She immediately trusted Steve Irwin, and scenes quickly circled the world.
