Praying Mantis Eats A Whole Locust In This Timelapse Video

Praying mantis are insect species with about 2300 known species. The name in the English and some other languages was given due to a typical attitude that reminds us of man in prayer.

In addition to posture, they are also known for camouflage shapes and colors of some species and cannibalism - the phenomenon when a female eats a male during a mating.

Praying mantis also like to eat locusts. These days, a video clip was uploaded on the web in which the author offered one of the praying mantis a locust, and then took its ritual to the camera.

With the locust, the praying mantis was dealing for as long as three hours, and the author of the video merged everything together with the timelapse technique which is now long only a minute and a half.

Take a look at how the praying mantis dealt with locust in front of the camera!
