Rare Footage Shows A Sleeping Octopus Changing Color While Dreaming
The popular Nature series on the PBS channel featured a rarely filmed octopus scene these days when it began to dream while sleeping, according to experts.
What they recorded on camera has taken many people's breath, and the video has reached over 200,000 views to date.
Octopus is an order of molluscs, whose representatives live in the world's seas, especially on coral reefs. It includes about 300 species, which is about one third of all known mollusc animals. They are considered to be highly intelligent animals, and with tentacles they can even smell and taste food.
Their life span is very short, as they only live from one to five years. Males die a few months after mating, and females shortly after they lay their eggs.
At Nature they filmed a scene with a sleeping octopus, and then the unthinkable happened. As the octopus entered the dream phase, it quickly began to change its color. See what the result is when octopuses dream!
