Reason Why You Shouldn't Mess With Snapping Turtles

A video showing the raw power of a snapping turtle from the Chelydridae family has gone viral online.

It is the most dangerous species of freshwater turtle in the world - its bite is so strong that it can easily bite off a human finger.

The video clip is already a hit on the Internet - to date, it has reached almost 10 million views on the YouTube network alone, and in the clip we can watch the aforementioned turtle in action. It bit the hot dog as a joke.

The snapping turtle from the Chelydridae family is native to America, and in the wild they can live up to 30 years. They feed on meat and plants, and adult tortoises are considered very aggressive, which means they have very few predators. As loners, they hunt mainly at night, and they live in lakes, ponds, canals and rivers.

See how strong the bite of a snapping turtle from the Chelydridae family is. The video clip is without a doubt proof of why it is not wise to pet such turtles or approach them in general.
