Ringing A Massive Monastery Bell That Weighs Over 34,000 Pounds

These days, a video from 2012, when a new bell was tested at an Orthodox monastery on Mount Tabor in Israel, has been rounded up online again.

During testing, it had to be run by four adult males, and the bell took on many with its image.

In the video, we can follow the test of a huge bell located in a monastery in Israel. The huge bell was made in the Austrian city of Innsbruck and is now powered by two huge engines.

The weight of the bell alone is 34,577 lbs (15,684 kg) and the diameter is around 9 ft (3 m). The maximum thickness at the bell is 8.8 inches (22.3 centimeters), and the clapper at the bell alone weighs exactly 956 pounds (434 kilograms).
