The teenage driver who fled after hitting a man crossing the street in a wheelchair in Sarasota turned himself in, then posted $20,120 bond and left Sarasota County jail.

The 48-year-old victim, Michael Wright, died from his injuries Wednesday morning, according to the Sarasota Police Department.
