Pedro Villarin, 65, suffered from liver cancer and doctors could no longer help him. That is why he expressed his last wish - at the wedding of his daughter, he wanted to take the bride to the altar.
The family hired an ambulance and a private nurse to bring him to his daughter's big day. The ceremony took place in the city of Manila in the Philippines.
The original plan was that the proud father would accompany his daughter on a wheelchair, but unfortunately he did not have enough power when the big day came. So they brought him to the wedding on stretcher instead. Relatives pushed father along with stretcher down the aisle, while Mr. Villarin held his daughter's hand.
Three days later, Pedro Villarin lost a battle with an illness, but at least his last wish was fulfilled.
