This Mimic Octopus Is A True Master Of Disguise

Mimic octopus (Thaumoctopus mimicus) is a special octopus, which is certainly one of the most interesting species living in the sea.

It can actively distribute its pigment, and with its shape and new color, it imitates a number of other more dangerous animals that share space with it.

Octopus is considered to be the most intelligent invertebrates, which is very helpful in hunting for prey, but also in avoiding natural enemies. They can squeeze through very narrow passages, change color and release the poison that confuses the attackers.

A mimic octopus can distribute the pigment over the whole body, and by changing the shape, it tricks the attackers to think there is a really dangerous animals infront of them.

It can imitate as many as 15 other dangerous animal species, and with intelligence it repeatedly outnumbers many enemies. Look at how the mimic octopus changes its color, shape and behavior in the case of danger!
