Truck Transporting Gas Bottles Explodes In Beirut, Lebanon
A truck carrying gas bottles caught fire on a highway north of Beirut on Friday.
The fire raised flames high in the air and blocked traffic on an important route across Lebanon.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire on Friday afternoon, only a few nearby cars, facades and balconies of a nearby apartment and electric poles were damaged.
"Civil protection personnel Jounieh rushed to the scene and managed to put out the fire. The damage was only material," the state's National News Agency said in a statement.
