Volcano Eruption In Canary Islands, Spain

In the municipality of El Paso in the south of the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands in Spain, a violent explosion erupted yesterday, and a dense cloud of smoke and volcanic ash rose above the island.

The volcano erupted - the authorities expected the eruption, as they recorded thousands of earthquakes in the past few days.

This is the first volcanic eruption in the Canary Islands in the last 50 years, and the authorities evacuated around 5,000 inhabitants from the area yesterday. Numerous fires also occurred during the eruption of the volcano, and lava vomiting continues today.
