Watch As 250 Amish Men Pick Up A Barn And Carry It Across A Farm In Just 5 Minutes
Cooperation is an important facet of the Amish life. This certainly applies to a group of men who gathered in front of the Ohio farm in order to move a large barn there.
A group of about 250 people appeared on the farm on the cold day early in March, shortly after 9am in order to help the owner Joseph Hochstetler move the large barn to a more suitable place.
Since most Amishs do not use equipment that requires electricity, this was all done by hand - around 500 hands, to be exact. The video shows us a scene when the Amishev group raises a large barn and then moves it synchronously to another location, which was about 150 feet away.
The barn was also turned 90 degrees around before it was finally placed at the desired location!
Look at the remarkable scene of team work, with about 250 Amish people moving a large barn on the farm. No doubt a scene that deserves a great applause!
