You've Been Cooking Rice Wrong Your Entire Life, This Is The Right Way

You've probably cooked rice whole your life in the wrong way. A few days ago, the BBC published a video on the web in which a rice master showed the process of how to properly cook rice.

Surely, it has already happened to you that the rice has become sticky at the time of cooking, and thus it has lost its full aroma. If this happened to you, then you probably cooked it in the wrong way.

And what is the correct approach to cooking rice?


The key is to accurately measure rice and water before cooking. We always have to add water in a 2: 1 ratio, and the key role is also played by the choice of the container. We have to choose pot with a deep bottom, but also to ensure that the lid is tightly sealed.

Before cooking, rice should be rinsed well with water.

When water with rice starts boiling, set the minimum temperature and close the entire content with the lid. At this point, the rice can be stirred again, then the whole contents is cooked for 10 minutes. After ten minutes we can turn off the heat and leave the rice like this for a further 5 minutes.

During this time, we do not remove the lid from the container!

With this approach, rice will never be too little or too cooked, and it will retain the entire texture.
