Nuclear bunker hung above a beach – now it has finally collapsed
A Cold War nuclear bunker that had been hanging dangerously above a beach in Yorkshire for weeks has finally collapsed into the cliff below.
Built in 1959 as a British military observation post in preparation for a potential nuclear attack, the structure once stood nearly 100 meters inland.
Years of coastal erosion gradually exposed the bunker, leaving it suspended above the beach until gravity took over. The dramatic collapse was captured on video, marking the end of a once-secret relic of the Cold War era.
