Video shows massive landslide on Sicily: Over 1,500 people evacuated

A video recorded on Tuesday reveals the alarming scale of a massive landslide that struck the Sicilian town of Niscemi on Sunday. Following intense rainfall, a landslide stretching over four kilometers swept through parts of the area, forcing authorities to evacuate more than 1,500 residents amid ongoing опасne conditions.

The footage shows widespread destruction, collapsed ground, and entire sections of land sliding downhill. Experts warn that the danger is not yet over, as the landslide is still slowly moving toward the town, raising concerns about further damage.

Due to unstable terrain, many evacuated residents may not be able to return home anytime soon. Local authorities are now working to secure long-term accommodation for affected families, while emergency services continue to monitor the situation closely.
