Police Horse Chases Fleeing Suspect – Bodycam Captures Dramatic Arrest

Mounted police officers in Jacksonville spotted a 25-year-old man suspected of selling illegal drugs during a routine patrol. As the officers approached on horseback, the suspect took off running, and the dramatic chase was captured on a body-worn camera.

During the roughly 500-meter pursuit, the man repeatedly sprinted across busy streets and narrowly avoided being hit by a passing vehicle. Leading the chase was police horse Nash, who quickly closed the distance.

The pursuit came to an end when the exhausted suspect ran out of energy, grabbed onto a flagpole for support, and surrendered. At one point during the chase, one of the officers jokingly shouted, "Haha. Told you you weren't gonna outrun us bro!"
