A Dog Found Alive, Hiding In An Oven Almost A Week After The Wildfires In Greece
The Greek government is facing criticism as the extent of the damage from the worst wildfires in recent memory becomes clear.
Fire officials say the number of dead stands at 91, while 25 people are still missing one week after flames swept through the Athens region.
These days, a video of the local residents landed on the web when they returned to their estates. Many houses are totally demolished, and almost no one has had the chance of survival before the flames. Many pets have also died.
The author of the video, however, experienced at least a bit of hope when she found a lost puppy next to a burning forest near the houses inside the stone oven. Dog was so happy for these people to find him that he did not even think about food and water, which he certainly did not have in the seven days of waiting.
