Man Eats Banana 'Art Work' That Was Sold For $120,000 At Art Basel In Florida

These days, the web has been surrounded by the news of an unusual art work - a banana taped to a wall. It is an unusual piece of art made by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, who sold the banana to a French art collector.

The price for a banana taped to the wall reached a dizzying $120,000.

On Saturday, however, the unexpected happened at the Miami Art Basel. Georgian activist David Datuna ripped the banana from the wall, peeled it and then simply ate it in front of a crowd of gathered people.

The video is already a sensation online, with millions of users watching it.

David Datuna tried to justify his actions by saying that he was simply hungry. He was later escorted out of the gallery by security guards and the banana was replaced with a new banana shortly after the incident.
