UAE kicks off New Year with drones, sets a new Guinness world record

The city of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates ushered in 2026 with a spectacular 15-minute drone and fireworks display, setting a new Guinness World Record. 2,300 drones were used in the sky to depict the Phoenix, a mythological creature that symbolizes rebirth and optimism.

The show was also enhanced by 1,000 advanced drones that used pyrotechnics to create flaming wings, and a magnificent fireworks display followed the start of the new year.
