NASA releases 360° video of Artemis II launch to the Moon

NASA has released a stunning 360-degree video of the Space Launch System rocket launching the Orion capsule with four astronauts toward the Moon. The immersive footage lets viewers move the camera view during liftoff, offering a unique perspective of one of the most important moments in modern lunar exploration.

The SLS rocket lifted off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida carrying the Orion spacecraft and astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen.

Artemis II is expected to take the crew on an approximately 10-day journey around the Moon. The mission is a major milestone in NASA's Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the lunar surface in the coming years.

The newly released video allows viewers to experience the launch in 360 degrees, giving the feeling of standing near the launch pad as the rocket lifts off toward space.
