Alaska Gets Hit With 7.0 Earthquake, Leaving Huge Devestation Behind

The South of Alaska was hit by a powerful earthquake with magnitude 7.0 yesterday. As soon as the earthquake struck, the local authorities issued a tsunami warning for the whole of the South Alaska coast, but soon afterwards they withdrew their warning.

The earthquake's epicenter was 12 kilometers north of Anchorage, at a depth of 43 kilometers.

The earthquake caused considerable damage to the city, mainly in the city of Anchorage, where hundreds of buildings were damaged, and a great damage was also caused on the road connections. Many bridges and roads are closed, and in many places there has been a power failure.

Luckly, they do not report about deaths, and the authorities are still assessing the damage according to the latest data.
