Dalai Lama Asks Little Boy To "Suck My Tongue"
The Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso caused public outrage these days when a video from a temple in India became public.
There, in front of the cameras, he first kissed the boy, then stuck his tongue out in front of him and told the boy to suck it.
The controversial scene was caught on camera at a temple in Dharamshala, located in India. The 87-year-old Dalai Lama invited the unidentified boy onto the stage and first encouraged him to hug and kiss him on the cheek.
Then the Dalai Lama pointed to his lips and told the boy to kiss him. He caused a lot of disgust with his last move, when he stuck his tongue out of his mouth and told the boy: "Now suck my tongue".
After a lot of public pressure, they also contacted the Dalai Lama's office, where they first apologized to the boy and his family on behalf of the Tibetan spiritual leader, and then wrote that the Dalai Lama often jokes in an innocent and playful way with the people he meets. Nevertheless, he reportedly regretted the incident.
