Man With Down Syndrome Approaches Brother On Guard, His Reaction Sends Him Running

Sam had been not-so-patiently waiting and waiting to visit his younger brother at work. Finally, the day had come. But this wasn't any ol' on-the-job tour.

His younger brother Jack is a doing his work as one of the Queen's Guards, where he protects the royal family at Windsor Castle. This is a huge honor for those in the Royal Army and Sam was so excited to see his brother stand proudly in his uniform.

Due to the fact that Sam has Down syndrome, Sgt. Baggot-Moore and Lt. Bragger gently told him what he could and could not do with his brother. Sam excitedly told the officers that this was the first time he would see Jack in action.

All three walked to the soldier dressed in a full winter uniform with a long gray coat and a big fluffy hat. It was Jack standing there! He recognized the arrival of Sam, then he caught a big smile on his face with a quick maneuver shortly afterwards.

Sam was allowed to take a quick photo at the place with his brother. That was the moment he was so eagerly waiting!

After photographing, Sam was accompanied inside the royal palace in which the Royal Guards had their place. When they visited one of the rooms, Sam saw someone at the end of the corridor, then his face shone with happiness. There was his brother Jack, and they got ran each other into a hug.

When you see Sam's reaction when visiting his brother, your day will be immediately better and filled with positive energy!

Aww this is so awesome. I’m sure that this young man with Down syndrome had a wonderful time visiting with his brother. It touched me to see how it made this young man was so excited. My cousin has Down syndrome and she gets so excited over the smallest things. It is so sweet.

Very moving indeed.

But "Royal Army"?? No such thing - I'm guessing this is an American site!

What a close bond they have as brothers. Sam was such a breath of fresh air is kind of a stifling, serious environment. Relationships are everything as well for my son with DS.

What a beautiful wee film. Brought a tear to my eye. Many years ago, 1970 whilst serving with The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, I was on the Royal Guard at Balmoral Castle, my last duty before leaving the Army.
