Teacher's Assistant Saves Kid Choking On Coin
An Oklahoma teacher's assistant is being called a hero for saving a 5-year-old boy who was choking. Mannford Public Schools teacher's assistant Ginger Maxville told KTUL she was driving a school bus when she saw a 5-year-old boy stand up.
"I thought he was teasing me and just not following my instructions and not sitting down," Maxville said.
At that point, the boy's sister told Maxville that the child had swallowed a coin. Immediately, she performed the Heimlich maneuver until the penny came up.
