Pilots Ejected Moments Before Hawk T2 Military Plane Crashes in Wales

A Hawk T2 military training aircraft operated by the British Royal Air Force crashed in North Wales on Wednesday, shortly after takeoff. Both pilots successfully ejected from the aircraft at an altitude of around 240 meters (800 feet) and survived the crash with minor injuries.

The aircraft encountered trouble shortly after taking off from RAF Valley, with eyewitnesses reporting flames coming from the engine. The pilots ejected before the Hawk crashed into a field near residential properties and erupted into a huge fireball. No one on the ground was injured.

Following the crash, the RAF temporarily grounded its entire fleet of Hawk T2 military training aircraft. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
