Footage Of Bridge Collapse In Baltimore After Cargo Ship Collision

In Baltimore, in the US state of Maryland, a tragic accident occurred at night, in which the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed.

A cargo ship collided with one of the supporting pillars, and the bridge then collapsed into the water - at least 20 people are missing.

Firefighters there were informed about the accident at 1:30 a.m. local time - a 289-meter-long cargo ship with a Singaporean flag, which was bound for Sri Lanka, collided with the structure of the bridge.

During the tragic accident, several cars are said to have fallen into the sea, and at least 20 people are missing. Divers and other rescuers are looking for survivors, but the search is very demanding - so far they have pulled two people out of the water. Several workers were also on the bridge at the time of the accident, and a truck carrying diesel fuel plunged into the sea.
