Google Demonstrates Google Assistant Making A Phone Call For Reservation

Next time you answer the phone at work you might not realise you're talking to a machine, with Google's smart assistant aiming to pass the Turing Test when booking appointments over the phone.

Google Assistant already supports the ability to make bookings, such as restaurant reservations and hairdresser appointments, but it requires the business to have an online booking system. This new feature will let Assistant make appointments with any business by calling it on your behalf and pretending to be a human while talking to the receptionist.
