34 Years Ago, Freddie Mercury Conquered The World In Twenty Magical Minutes
Live Aid was a double charity rock concert to help victims of hunger from Ethiopia, organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure.
On July 13, 1985, the concert coincided at the old Wembley Stadium in London, where 72,000 people gathered and at John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, where 100,000 visitors came.
It is one of the biggest television broadcasts in history, directed by Vincent Scarza. Through the satellite, the image went to more than 150 countries around the world, and the concert was seen by approximately 1.9 billion people.
Exactly 34 years ago, Freddie Mercury took care of the 24-minute performance together with the Queen that still takes a breath today. It is considered to be the highlight of this charity event and one of the most cult performances in the history of music.
