Man Accidentally Burns Down Own Home With Fireworks
Independence Day is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the United States, on July 4, 1776.
Traditionally, parades, fireworks, numerous concerts and carnivals are held throughout the country on this day.
This year, many had already celebrated the day before with pyrotechnics. Among them was a man from Brooklyn, New York, who cooked up a big drama.
While using fireworks, one of the missiles accidentally flew through an open window and started a fire inside the house. The fire was noticed by the owner only a few minutes later, when it was already too late.
Most of the house burned down, and 12 fire crew units battled the blaze. The unwise owner who caused the fire is now accused of arson out of negligence.
