Alaska Earthquake Captured On Camera

Alaska was shaken by a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 8.2, and local authorities issued a tsunami warning soon after the unfortunate event.

Three hours later, the warning was revoked, and a strong earthquake could be felt even 10,000 kilometers (6,200 miles) away.

The epicenter was 91 kilometers (56 miles) southeast of Perryville, and authorities issued a tsunami alert for southern Alaska and the entire Alaska Peninsula shortly after the quake. At the same time, residents were instructed to leave their homes and seek safe shelter in higher lying areas.

Three hours after the magnitude 8.2 earthquake, authorities lifted the warning. The depth of the quake was just 6,5 miles (4 miles) below the surface, making the quake intensely felt by all Alaskans.

The web is surrounded by a video in which we can follow a scene in one of the houses in Alaska when the ground shook. See what a scene looks like when an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.2 strikes.
