CT Scanner Going At Full Speed Shows Incredible Force
One of the devices that doctors view our body with is a computed tomography device, better known as CT.
This is a procedure that raised the idea of classic x-ray to a higher level.
Instead of observing the outer contours of the bone and organs, CT creates a complete 3D computer model of the observed part of the body. The method is based on measuring the absorption of X-rays, and the computer creates a representation of the interior of the body upon the data obtained.
In 1972, CT was independently designed by the British physicist Godfrey Hounsfield and Allan Cormack of the US state of Massachusetts, and a year later it was already used in clinical practice.
A video clip of an open CT device has landed online these days, showing how fast the internal mechanism rotates when it is operating. Look at the speed of the CT device!
